シリコンバレー派遣研修通信です。先日、直前の対面研修と、渡航前最終説明会を実施しました。
いよいよ渡航が目前に迫り、気持ちも高まってきた様子です。今回は、３学年の参加者に記事を書いてもらいました。

Hi! I'm a member of the Silicon Valley program who received a baton of this blog relay. This time, I would like to introduce how we prepare for our program.
In the program, we will meet many people we meet for the first time. The professionals of design thinking take time for us, so just listening and seeing is too rude. This time, we practice role play in English and Japanese. To keep a conversation, the important thing is not to forget interest and to widen the conversation.
We also practice presenting our idea in English. Of course, our English skill is the biggest problem. However, an unexpected but very important problem is that it doesn't feel real yet that we will present our project in the U.S. We will make our idea feasible, not just an idea, and raise awareness before we leave Japan.
The next day, we had a final information session.
Even though we are in trouble, time passes. We have only 2 more weeks left on grace. We will do everything we can. Please be expectant of our "hysterical strength".

プログラムでは初対面の人と話す場面がたくさん。デザイン・シンキングのプロたちがわざわざ時間を割いてくれるのですから、ただ聞いて、見てでは、あまりにも失礼というものでしょう。そのためにロールプレイを用いて、英語や日本語で会話練習を行いました。会話を続けるコツは興味を失わず、会話を広げ続けることです。
また、私達のアイデアについての英語プレゼンテーションも練習を行いました。もちろん私たちの最大の課題は英語力です。ただし意外かもしれませんが、私達はまだアメリカでプレゼンテーションをすること実感を持てていないという大きな課題がありました。日本を離れる前までに、アイデアを机上の空論ではなく実現するという意識を高めなくてはならないと再確認しました。
次の日には渡航の最終説明会が。私たちがどれだけ困っていようが、刻一刻と時間は過ぎていきます。もはや猶予は二週間。やれることはすべてやるつもりでいます。私たちの”火事場の馬鹿力”にご期待ください！
