3年生との交流では、英語を使って一緒に「すごろく」を楽しみました。英語でのやり取りに少し緊張しながらも、ゲームを通して自然に交流を深めることができました。

校内ツアーでは、普段の授業の様子も見学してもらいました。２学年の美術の授業など、日本の学校での学習の様子を興味深そうに見ていました。

視聴覚室では、Wellers Hill State Schoolのみなさんによるギターと合唱のパフォーマンスを披露してもらいました。素敵な演奏と歌声に、みんなで楽しい時間を過ごしました。

また、4年生の有志が、放課後にオーストラリアの児童に会いにきました。

参加生徒の中には、昨年度Wellers Hill State Schoolを訪問し、お世話になったホストファミリーや現地のバディと再会することができた生徒もいました。

A Visit from Wellers Hill State School in Australia

We were delighted to welcome 25 students and 5 teachers from Wellers Hill State School in Australia to our school.

As part of the exchange, our third-grade students enjoyed playing a traditional Japanese board game, Sugoroku, together with the visiting students in English. Although some students were a little nervous about communicating in English, they quickly relaxed and enjoyed interacting with each other through the game.

During a school tour, the students from Wellers Hill State School visited various classrooms and observed our regular lessons, including an art class. They seemed very interested in seeing what learning is like at a Japanese school.

In the audiovisual room, the visiting students gave us a wonderful performance featuring guitar and singing. We all enjoyed their beautiful music and singing and had a wonderful time together.

After school, some of our fourth-grade students also came to meet the students from Australia. Among them were students who had visited Wellers Hill State School last year. Some were especially happy to reunite with their host families and buddies whom they had met during their visit to Australia.

This exchange was a wonderful opportunity for our students to deepen their friendships and connections across borders.
