We had an excursion to The Woolshed at Jondaryan. I went there by bus with Japanese students. We sang two songs in the bus. The
songs are “YELL” and “Disney Medley”. It was a lot of fun. After that, I arrived at the Woolshed. We made ‘damper’. Damper is traditional bread in Australia. We had damper with the morning tea. It was
great! After that, we learned about Australian culture and farming. I couldn’t understand everything, but I understood a little. We saw
two dogs and many jumbucks ‘Jumbuck’ means sheep in Australia.
They were very cute and smart. After that, we learned about
whipping from a stockman. Whipping seemed simple, but it was very difficult. I couldn’t do it well. A stockman did it very well. Then, I
rode a carriage and took many pictures. Two horses were smart. So, it was a lot of fun. I bought postcards and a pen.
I want to go there again!

Today, we visited the Woolshed at Jondaryan. We tried making
damper. It’s like traditional bread. Then, we saw dogs, sheep and
horses. They were so cute. We learned the history of Australia. John (a historian) taught me. It was interesting. We learned so many
things. Then we rode a horse-drawn cart. I was very excited. The
horses were strong. After coming home, Sharon (host mother) and I went shopping. We bought something. We went to a car shop and
it’s from Japan. I was surprised. Then, I ate rice and some dishes for dinner. After dinner, I talked with my host family for a long time.
I really enjoyed it.
